Uuno Kailas(1901-1933)
How I fear that hand!
It has done many a deed
depraved, callous.
Good it left unmade.
Oppressed, when it was supposed to help.
What shouldn't be sold, it sold.
Without a cause to beat, it beat.
From it's sowing sprouted adders.
I fear the hand on my table.
If only would it wither immediately!
Oh, it drew a black cross
over my own life.
Käsi was published in the collection Tuuli ja tähkä ynnä muita runoja(1922).
