Kössi Kaatra(1882-1928)
What are you to me, miss?
An evening task, a moment tender,
end of an arduous day
for a man perishing.
You are a soft murmur,
a sleep granting melody
for the joy of an anguished sense.
What am I to you?
- A bird of a stirring storm,
a cloud over a rainless day,
frost on the side of a flower.
Mitä olet minulle neiti has been translated from the collection Runoja(1905).
