A moment boundless

like heart of sea hidden and deep.

At its bottom is

like under soil a swelling seed.

Into your eyes I gaze,

to those secrets awakening,

like would open gates

in them to forecourts of life.

I saw, with starving eyes,

- like would have drank sun and shining blue -

saw, with full heart

didn't see before, wasn't joyous.

This moment renews,

it sows in us the best of ourselves

and the seed falls

like the summer, sky into our life's soil.
