ONE WHO HAS LOST THEIR SIGHT

Helvi Juvonen(1919-1959)

In a tree on the yard for a bright day sings
a bird that my eyes don't see.
I touch a branch, its buds swell.
Who brought it, I can't feel.
The coming of the rain certainly I still feel.
A drop already burns on my cheek.
